Our mission is to promote the personal and professional development of young professionals in the Memphis area through social and community action.
 
As one of the city’s largest networks of young leaders, we are recognized throughout the community for our members accomplishments. Being a part of MULYP not only serves as a great networking tool, but also provides a structured way to volunteer, enhance your leadership ability and ultimately give back to our community! MULYP will work to fill a void in the Memphis community by attracting, assisting and supporting the next generation of Memphis leadership to create positive change.
 
We will aim to strengthen our members by encouraging them to achieve balance in their lives even as they work to strengthen their communities. Historically, the Urban League is recognized as the nation’s oldest and largest community-based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. Today, there are over 100 local affiliates of the NUL located in 35 states and the District of Columbia providing direct services to more than 2 million people nationwide through programs, advocacy and research.
